Originally produced as a motion picture in 2000
The U.S. men's 2000 Olympic eight was poised to make history. They had won the World Rowing Championships an unprecedented three years in a row. If they could do it again by winning gold at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, they would be considered the greatest eight-oared men's crew in the history of the sport. The film begins in January 2000, with the first official workout for potential Olympians. For the next 97 minutes, it follows the training and selection of the U.S. crew, concluding at the Sydney Olympic Games. It is told in the first person, as the rowers and coaches, friends and family tell their story as it unfolds.
NTSC; Dolby digital 5.1, DTS 5.1 surround sound and stereo surround sound.
In English with optional English subtitles; Closed-captioned.
